Home grown in North Carolina, I live with my own hero in an old farmhouse situated on a fifty-acres, allowing me the peace and quiet to spend time with my fictional friends.

Losing three fingers on my left hand was the prelude to my writing career. Winning a writing contest in high school should have prompted me to follow my dreams, but life got in the way, and a wide assortment of careers followed until what I call "the day" happened.

An accident resulted in the loss of the three middle fingers on my left hand through the knuckles. After assuring my husband I loved him, I hightailed it to Mama's for six weeks where I received lavish comfort and attention.

Needless to say, my husband was very happy when I returned home, but while I was at Mama's, an interesting thing happened. After a week at Mom's, boredom set in and I picked up one of her many romance novels lying around the house.

After reading several, I confidently announced to my Mother that I could write one of these and made plans to do so.

Well, eight years and eight manuscripts later, I sold my first novel.

It was harder than it looked. :)

I have now found my destiny in the mighty pen, or keyboard, and look forward to writing many more novels.
